Anthony LaCivita has more than 30 years experience in the securities and financial services industry. He has developed and implemented compliance policies and procedures for global investment banks and investment management firms and managed comprehensive reviews and responses to regulatory investigations, proceedings, orders, and judgments. Prior to his time with Patomak, Mr. LaCivita served as a Director in the Fixed Income and Asset Management Divisions at Credit Suisse in New York and London. As a Senior Counsel at Credit Suisse, he was responsible for structuring, managing, and resolving several pools of distressed assets and special situations investments in the United States and Europe. Previously, he was a Senior Compliance Counsel for the Leveraged Finance Group, covering capital markets, sales, trading, and research of high-yield bonds, syndicated bank loans, distressed debt, and structured finance products.
Before joining Credit Suisse, he was a Managing Director and General Counsel of GE Capital’s registered broker-dealer and Capital Markets Group.
He also previously served as a Director at Nomura Securities International, where he was General Counsel of Nomura’s registered investment advisory subsidiaries in the United States and lead counsel to the investment banking and structured finance divisions.
Mr. LaCivita received a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Virginia, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
